WILLIAM HARPER JR.² (William¹)

William Harper (b. 1776 in Ire. was living in 1850 in Fairfield County, Ohio). He married Sarah, probably in Pa. She died in 1848/9. They lived in Athens county several years as he was listed in tax lists 1820 and 1826, served as constable in 1829 and on a jury in 1832. Probably moved to Fairfield county prior to 1842 at which date he bought a farm there in Richland township. They had several children but names for only two of them are available:

1. Elizabeth Harper b. ca 1800.

2. James Harper b. ca 1805.
