Samuel Smith Genealogy

Samuel Smith, son of Steel Smith, of Farmington, Conn. and Windsor, Vt., 1765 to 1812, and his wife, Lois (Spooner) Smith.

He was born in Windsor, Vt., July 2, 1765; was the first male child born in Windsor County, Vt. He died in Windsor, Vt., Jan. 6, 1842. He married Lucy Woods, daughter of Capt. Ebenezer Woods, of Massachusetts, Sept. 1, 1789, at Windsor, Vt.

John Spooner Smith, son of Samuel and Lucy, born Aug. 25, 1790.

Betsey Smith, daughter of Samuel and Lucy, born Mar. 18, 1792.

Cyllinda Smith, daughter of Samuel and Lucy, born Sept. 15, 1794.

Samuel N. Smith, son of Samuel and Lucy, born Oct. :30, 1796.

Lucy Smith, daughter of Samuel and Lucy, born Feb. 22, 1799.

Sophia Smith, daughter of Samuel and Lucy, born Feb. 14, 1801.

Mary Smith, daughter of Samuel and Lucy, born Dec. 25, 1802.

Hart Smith, son of Samuel and Lucy, born Oct. 14, 1804.

John Spooner Smith, born Aug. 25, 1790; son of Samuel. Married Caroline Sabine, daughter of Dr. James Sabine, of Randolph, Vt. He died Dec. 12, 1872.
