Lucy Andrews (Wells6, Asa5, Nehemiah4, Samuel3Thomas2, William1), born Aug. 3, 1832, at Hartford, O. Died March 1, 1912, at Geneseo, Ill. Came to Tazewell county, Ill., in 1843. Attended Monticello Seminary at Godfrey, Ill. Married May 1, 1855, at Pekin, Ill., to George Washington Shaw, A. M., Brown University. Attorney at law. Only child of Jos. L. Shaw, M. D. Yale University 1829, and Mary Randal Shaw. He was born Dec. 6, 1831, at Providence, R. I. Removed to Tremont, Ill., 1834. Studied law with Stuart & Edwards, Springfield, Ill., 1852,-S. To Geneseo, Ill., 1857. Conversant with seven languages. Large English, French and German law library. Died at Geneseo Feb. 20, 1912. Children:

  1. Robert Andrews Shaw, born at Pekin, Ill., Aug. 23, 1856. Died Aug. 15, 1857, at Geneseo, Ill.

  2. Mary Josephine Shaw, born Feb. 26, 1860, at Geneseo, Ill. Married April 14, 1885, to Attorney Alfred Jaques at Geneseo, Ill., who was born Feb. 8, 1857. He died July 2, 1937, at Duluth, age 80. Wrote "Early Life in Virginia." Children:

    1. Robert Jaques, born May 4 1886. Robert Jaques, a Son of the American Revolution, was a Captain in the World War. Attorney at law, Duluth. Married Dec. 27, 1919, to Margaret O'Brian, who was born at Grand Haven, Mich., July 24, 1889. Children:

      1. Mary Joan Jaques, born at Duluth, Minn., July 4, 1923.

      2. Margot Jaques, born at Duluth, Minn., July 31, 1925.

    2. Marion Randal Jaques, born Aug. 22, 1888. Died Sept. 19, 1889.

    3. Lawrence Jaques, born May 19, 1890. Denver, Col. Attorney at Law. 1st Lieutenant 130th Infantry, 65th Brigade, 33d Division, A. E. F. Married Aug. 25, 1917, to Helen Cummings Knowlton, who was born June 4, 1891.

    4. Wilfrid Jaques, born Aug. 6, 1896. Private Fed. Minn. Nat. Guard vs. Villa in Mexico 1915. Hosp. Corps at Camp Grant, Rockford, Ill., until 1919. Married Aug. 6, 1928, at Duluth, Minn., to Grace Magnuson, daughter of Frank and Alma Magnuson. Children:

      1. Alfred Roger Jaques, born May 31, 1929, Duluth.

      2. Wilfrid Lawrence Jaques, born Oct. 15, 1936, Duluth, Minn.

    5. Stephen Randal Jaques, born Aug. 14, 1899. R. O. T. C. University, Minn. World War. Married Oct., 1929, to Theresa Adamak, daughter of John and Catherine Adamac, who came from Poland in 1888. He died at Duluth Aug. 14, 1937, suddenly. Children:

      1. Robert Andrews Jaques, born Jan. 22, 1936.

  3. Lucy Andrews Shaw, born Aug. 27, 1863, at Geneseo, Ill. Married June, 1886, to Gustav Meyer of Westerville, Ohio, who was born Oct. 24, 1858, at Neustadt, Germany, and died Oct. 9, 1932. Student at four German universities, conversant in five languages, accomplished musician. Children:

    1. George Shaw Meyer, born March 7, 1887, at Geneseo, Ill. Married Aug. 9, 1913, Hattie Belle Cesna at Toledo, Ohio, daughter of William and Clara (Davis) Cesna, who was born March 5, 1889. Children:

      1. George Shaw Meyer, born Aug. 15, 1914, at Evans City, Pa. Married July 3, 1938, to Mary Harsha, Westerville, O.

      2. Mary Margaret Meyer, born May 23, 1918, at Westerville, O.

    2. Lucy Caroline Meyer, born May 10, 1888, at Geneseo, Ill. Married Sept. 30, 1920, to Alexander Sutherland Grier, who was born Jan. 31, 1875, in Scotland. Children:

      1. Lucy Sutherland Grier, born Jan. 4, 1922, in New York City.

      2. Alexander Sutherland Grier, Jr., born Sept. 14, 1923.

      3. David Bruce Grier, born Oct. 27, 1925. Died Nov. 19, 1925.

      4. Catherine Elizabeth Grier, born Aug. 11, 1928. Died Feb. 20, 1929. Residence at Dumont, N. J.

    3. Agnes May Meyer, born July 24, 1889, at Geneseo, Ill. Yeoman in the U. S. Navy, World War, married Aug. 12, 1925, at Washington, D. C., Michael B. Driscoll, Attorney at Law, 1st Lieutenant 130th Infantry, 65th Brigade, 33d Division A. E. F. who was born Dec. 6, 1890, at Cairo, Ill., son of Michael and Mary (Dodd) Driscoll.

    4. Gustav Frickman Meyer. Infantryman A. E. F., Camp Jackson, New Orleans, World War. Born Jan. 2, 1895, at Joplin, Mo.

    5. Margaret Eliza Meyer, born May 10, 1897, at Westerville, O. Married Dec. 15, 1923, to Russell F. Hamilton, who was born Feb. 2, 1897, son of John and Sarah (Norris) Hamilton. Children:

      1. James Russell Hamilton, born Dec. 5, 1926.

    6. Mary Randall Meyer, born Jan. 7, 1902, at Westerville, O.

    7. Otto Meyer, born Nov. 16, 1905, at Westerville, O. Married Nov. 16, 1928, to Dorma Ridenour, daughter of Emery and Anna (Sawyer) Ridenour of Virginia, who was born Nov. 16, 1903. Children:

      1. Dorma Elizabeth Meyer, born Feb. 25, 1932, at Westerville, O.

      2. Martha Virginia Meyer, born Oct. 3, 1933.

    8. Joseph Lawrence Meyer, born Dec. 7, 1909, at Westerville, O.

  4. Margaret Harlan Shaw, born Aug. 11, 1865, at Geneseo, Ill. Died March 15, 1912.

  5. Eliza Harper Shaw, born Feb. 4, 1870, at Geneseo, Ill. Married Sept. 5, 1909, to Dante Milton Stamm at Geneseo, Ill., son of Rev. Martin Stamm, who was born May 5, 1865. Children:

    1. Amey Lawrence Stamm, born June 29, 1910.

  6. Joseph Lawrence Shaw, born March 8, 1877, at Geneseo, Ill. Attorney at law, 1st Lieutenant 123 Field Artillery, 58th Brigade, 33d Division A. E. F., married Sept. 30, 1929, to Josephine T. Johnson, born Nov. 20, 1886. Daughter of Victor and Caroline (Hippler) Johnson.
