72. Hattie Estell Grimes, dau. of Isaac Wilson Grimes b. October 25, 1890, in Wayne County, Tennessee. She m. May 11, 1912, Merle F. Brankert in Lawrence County, Tennessee. They lived in Oakland, Florida where he worked for the Standard Oil Company. He d. March 19, 1952.

Children:

130. Merle F., Jr., b. April 30, 1914, in Lawrence County, Tennessee. He m. April 10, 1940, Bernice Cadwell. They live in Oakland, Florida, and are the parents of two girls, Iris Fay, b. February 24, 1941, and Merle Elizabeth, b. November 23, 1944.

131. Earl F., b. June 15, 1917, in Wayne County, Tennessee. He was graduated from Rollins College and served as a captain in the U. S. Air Corps in World War H. He m. July 7, 1942, Jacquelin Miller of Watch Hill, R. I., where the couple now live. They have three children: Mitchell Earl, b. July 13, 1943; Carol Suzanne, b. November 4, 1945; and Steve Miller, b. July 31, 1952.
