John Othel Grimes Genealogy

67. John Othel Grimes, son of William Henry Grimes, b. June 21, 1894, in Wayne County, Tennessee. He m. December 20, 1917, Elizabeth Woods, b. November 25, 1894 on Eagle Creek, near Clifton, Tennessee. He served in the U. S. Army during World War I, until he was discharged because of a broken leg. He then settled near Tulsa, Oklahoma where he engaged in farming and trading in real estate. He d. February 17, 1947, as a result of burns suffered in a grass fire.

Children:

120. Jack, b. September 21, 1918, in Tulsa, Oklahoma; m. April 13, 1941, Ruth Bradford, b. August 15, 1922. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and now lives near Turley, Oklahoma, where he owns and operates a wholesale and retail automobile supply store. They have two children:

Jack Othel, b. December 25, 1944;

Nancy Elizabeth, b. July 5, 1954.
