Hugh Jones Genealogy

Hugh² Jones (Hugh¹) of Salem, Massachusetts. Third and youngest son of Hugh. Born in 1683 in Salem, Mass. Went to Woburn with his mother, 1694, and resided in that part of the town, set off in 1730 as Wilmington, for forty years. He married Hannah, born December 24, 1688, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Pierce) Wilson of Woburn. They had eight children.

2. Hannah, born April 16, 1714.
3. David, born July 27, 1716; died January 20, 1795. He married first, November 10, 1738, Hannah, daughter of Dea. Nathaniel and Hannah Fox of Concord and Dracut. She died in 1170. Married second, December 17, 1777, Mary, daughter of Halt, formerly wife of John Pratt of Harvard and second of James Godfrey of Lancaster.
4. Jonathan, born January 20, 1718-9. Married first, Hannah, daughter of John and Hannah Richardson Barron of Dracut, October 7, 1744. Married second, September 20, 1754, Mary Curtis of Dracut.
5. Nathan, born April 13,1721. Married October 8, 1743, Eliza, daughter of Josiah and Sarah Coburn of Dracut.
6. Nathaniel, born June 5, 1723. Married March 12, 1747, Jane Fletcher.
7. Mary, born May 11, 1725.
8. Hugh, born July 7. 1727. Married August 10, 1751, Sarah Fletcher.
