Narcia Ellison Genealogy

90. Narcia Ellison, dau. of Thomas J. and Elizabeth Grimes Ellison, b. April 11, 1896. After the death of her father in 1894 she lived with an uncle, Dr. George Grimes, while attending school in Pulaski, Tennessee. She m. October 6, 1920, Myron Cortill Smith of Decaturville, Tennessee. He d. November 18, 1928. As a widow, she taught school and served as Decatur County welfare worker to support her family, and educate her four children.

Children:

150. Myron Trudell Smith, b. July 28, 1921. He served four years in the U. S. Army during World War II. He is a graduate with a master's degree from Peabody College. He m. July 29, 1954, Geneva Doran of Savannah, Tennessee. They both teach in the Savannah public school. They have a son Myron Trudell, Jr., b. May 12, 1956.

151. Monnie Elizabeth Smith, b. September 2, 1922. She was graduated from University of Tennessee and m. February 14, 1946, O. K. Lewis, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia. He is a graduate of Georgia School of Technology. They live in Albany, Georgia, and have two children: Phillip, b. May 16, 1952, and Mark Ellison, b. September 9, 1956.

152. Lena Marie Smith, b. September 18, 1924. She m. September 23, 1946, Elva Richardson of Union City, Tennessee. They are both graduates of the University of Tennessee. They live in Chattanooga and have two children: Patricia Ann b. April 8, 1948, and Steve, b. October 22, 1950.

153. Melba June Smith, b. October 17, 1926. She attended the University of Tennessee for three years and m. December 22, 1946, Fred Wright of Mobile, Alabama. They live in Mobile and have two children: Myron Donald, b. November 30, 1947, and Wade Meredith, b. November 27, 1952.
