1. Brantse Peelen Van Nieukerke, in the Holland Society Year Book for 1896, p. 130, under the Settlers of Rensselaerswyck between 1630 and 1646, is styled a Magistrate, and it states that he died before June 14, 1644, leaving two daughters, Elizabeth and Geertje, who married Goosen Gerritsen Van Schaick. On July 30, 1643, he made a marriage contract with Maritje Peters, widow of Claes Sybroutsen, who must have been his second wife.

2. Geertje Van Nieukerke, daughter of Brantse Peelen Van Nieukerke, became the first wife of Goosen Gerritsen Van Schaick of Albany, and died there in 1656.
