William Martin Cook Genealogy

191 William Martin Cook, son of John LaFayette, b. March 22, 1849, in Wayne County; m. (1) January 23, 1873, Almira Irene Montague, dau. of John Montague (407), b. September 27, 1848. He was a farmer, mill operator, merchant, and at one time mayor of Clifton, Tennessee. He was a democrat, a Mason, and he and his wife were members of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She d. May 11, 1886, and he m. (2) Amanda Sullivan. He d. September 25, 1891, and was buried in the Griggs Cemetery on Eagle Creek.
